The studio’s mission is to create truly unique and engaging video games that bring some of the most beloved entertainment properties to life in authentic and compelling mobile game experiences. Through user-centric design philosophies and close IP & publishing partnerships we create immersive games and inspiring marketing campaigns for our player communities and partners. We are purpose-driven, values-led and make our decisions based on quality data supported by exceptional processes.

OUR COMPANY

Founded in 2016, Navigator Games is home to a dynamic and enthusiastic team of video game developers based out of Vancouver, Canada. Our strong foundation is the award winning, mobile RPG Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast which has been #1 mobile RPG in multiple markets, with over 4 million players worldwide having celebrated its 5th anniversary in 2021. The studio has recently announced its partnership with Square Enix to develop an Avatar: The Last Airbender mobile game. The as-yet-untitled game is an all-new mobile game set in the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe.

OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM

Will Moore

Chief Executive Officer

Will brings a 25+ year track record of leading complex multi-stakeholder projects for successful companies across the video games, technology, film and music industries. After a decade driving global multimedia projects for Virgin, EMI and Polygram he spent 16 years as a management consultant including leading an international management consultancy advising clients and company boards across video games, film and sports industries. Will holds a 1st class MBA from Henley Business School with a distinction for his thesis on ‘business model innovation in technology businesses’. On weekends he can often be found alpine climbing, mountain-biking or fly-fishing in the Coast Mountains of BC.

Nick Bamford

Head of Development

Nick has 20+ years as a software engineer in the games industry, the last 14 as a Lead or Technical Director. His work experience includes companies such as Gremlin Interactive, SEGA, Microsoft, Eidos, and EA. Nick has worked on numerous large franchises including Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Sonic the Hedgehog and Age of Empires. He has also developed numerous core technology systems and pioneered AI research in machine learning. Nick’s deep understanding of the digital game space has made him an expert in building high-performance software engineering teams, running online enabled, high availability services and building high-performance infrastructures / engines with high-velocity content pipelines.

Amanda O’Mara

People Operation Manager

With her CPHR designation, Amanda specializes in organizational design, talent management and leadership mentoring. She has 8+ years experience in Human Resources with Disney Canada and the Home Depot. Having graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Arts Honours and Master of Science in Education, she leverages her learning to inspire innovation and drive professional excellence in the workplace.
